Champlain Regional Orthopaedic Network (The Network)

The Network is a voluntary, formal partnership among the hospitals throughout the Champlain region that provide orthopaedic and related care. The goal of the Champlain Regional Orthopaedic Network is to improve orthopaedic patient health by delivering high quality care that is equally distributed across the region, so that all people have equal access and the same care, regardless of where they live.

The work of the Network is directed by an executive steering committee made up of chief executive officers from all full service orthopaedic hospitals in the region: Cornwall Community Hospital, Hôpital Montfort, Pembroke Regional Hospital, Queensway Carleton Hospital and The Ottawa Hospital. Clinical advice is provided by a clinical advisory committee made up of health care providers and patient representatives. The Network is a committed, engaged group of professionals who work together to ensure people receive the best possible MSK care.

Central Intake

Your referral is sent to the Central Intake Centre (CIC), where it is reviewed to make sure it is appropriate and complete. If a Rapid Access Clinic (RAC) is available for your condition, the referral is then assigned to a RAC located closest to your home address. If a RAC is not available for your condition, the referral is forwarded to an appropriate surgeon.
