Who We Are
The Champlain Regional Orthopaedic Network is a partnership between all hospitals delivering musculoskeletal care across the Champlain region.
What We Do
ChamplainMSKcare.ca will help you understand the common medical conditions affecting your back, shoulders, legs and feet, and guide you through the process of finding timely, effective treatment within the Champlain region.
How We Work
The Champlain Regional Orthopaedic Network works with your family doctor or nurse practitioner who is your primary care provider (PCP), partner hospitals, Central Intake Centre, surgeons and the region’s Rapid Access Clinics (RACs), to connect you with non-surgical and surgical treatment. All services are covered by OHIP.
The ChamplainMSKcare.ca website is designed to assist you to better understand musculoskeletal conditions affecting your spine, shoulders, legs or feet. It will also assist your family doctor or nurse practitioner (PCP) in choosing appropriate treatments, and how to refer to regional services, so you will receive care as quickly as possible.
Depending on your condition, your PCP will refer you to the Central Intake Centre where your symptoms, history and examination results will be assessed by a specialist who will recommend the best treatment (a process called triage).
Not all conditions require surgery. Where conservative treatments are most appropriate, we will connect you with practitioners and treatment plans that work for you and follow up with you as needed.
In cases where surgery is appropriate, we will work with you to find the most appropriate surgeon and location for your treatment.
